Privacy Policy

Natrition Wellness makes a commitment to enacting privacy and confidentiality best practices, including:

  • Holding client sessions in a private (not public) setting.

  • Keeping patient intake forms and notes in a password-protected folder on your computer.

  • Ensuring that you do not leave your laptop unattended in a public place or in a vehicle.

  • Maintaining secure passwords for your computer and email client.

  • Never sharing passwords with others or writing them down (instead, consider adopting a password security manager, like LastPass).

  • Keeping any paper records in a locked storage box.

  • Shredding or permanently deleting records or files that you no longer wish to store.

  • Never sharing a client’s personal information with friends, family members, or on social media (unless you have express written permission to do so).

  • Obtaining written permission from the client before collaborating with another wellness provider on a client’s behalf.

It’s important to note that e-mail and most video conference platforms are not encrypted, and thus not guaranteed to be fully secure. In most cases, for clients outside of a traditional healthcare setting, a commitment to confidentiality is sufficient. Although, if you are working with a particularly security-sensitive client base, you may opt to use an encrypted communication platform and/or video conference tool (e.g., ProtonMail and Zoom Healthcare).
